Together with The Native Antigen Company, PUXANO used cryo-electron microscopy to investigate the structure of Chikungunya virus-like particles (CHIKV-VLPs).

Wies Lips and Sebastiaan De Cooman represented PUXANO at the EMBO course Advances in Cryo-Electron Microscopy and 3D Image Processing in Heidelberg.
The course brought together people from across the cryo-EM field, with a mix of lectures, hands-on sessions and plenty of opportunities to discuss new approaches and challenges in cryo-EM. It was a great setting to meet researchers from different backgrounds and see what others are working on.
As part of the course, Wies gave a tech talk about our graphene grids and tilted graphene grids. The presentation was followed by some really interesting discussions and questions, and it was great to hear directly from people working with cryo-EM on a daily basis.
For us, these kinds of events are a great way to meet others in the field, exchange ideas and get feedback on what we’re working on.
Thanks to the EMBO team, instructors and everyone who took part for a great few days in Heidelberg!
