PUXANO Joins the Conversation on Belgium’s AI Future at BE-AIFA

1 June 2026

On 1 June, PUXANO participated in the introduction event of the Belgian AI Factory Antenna (BE-AIFA), an initiative designed to help Belgian organisations connect with Europe’s rapidly growing AI ecosystem.
The event brought together more than 100 participants from industry, research, and public administration to discuss how Belgium can benefit from European investments in artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and digital innovation. Throughout the day, speakers from EuroHPC, the LUMI AI Factory, the Jupiter AI Factory, IMEC, KU Leuven, and other leading organisations shared insights on the opportunities and challenges surrounding AI adoption and infrastructure access.
As part of the programme, PUXANO’s Wout De Muer joined a panel discussion on the priorities, challenges, and opportunities facing Belgian organisations. During the session, he shared the perspective of a biotech startup and discussed the importance of access to advanced computing resources through the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU).
The event also provided a practical overview of how organisations can engage with BE-AIFA, including access paths to infrastructure, expertise, and support services. Interactive discussions helped identify the needs of Belgian companies and researchers looking to accelerate AI adoption and innovation.
For PUXANO, the event was an opportunity to contribute to the conversation on how European AI infrastructure can support innovative companies and scientific research. We are grateful to BE-AIFA and the organisers for bringing together such a diverse group of stakeholders and look forward to following the initiative as it develops.
As Belgium strengthens its connection to Europe’s AI ecosystem, collaborations between industry, research institutions, and infrastructure providers will be key to unlocking new opportunities for innovation.
